IMPACT-AD
IMPACT-AD is an Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) clinical trials training program that aims to educate and promote diversity among research professionals and future principal investigators in the field of ADRD research. IMPACT-AD is co-directed by ATRI Biostatistics Director Dr. Rema Raman and UC Irvine MIND Director Dr. Joshua Grill; and is funded by the Alzheimer’s Association and the National Institute of Aging (NIA).
The course focuses on providing early-stage investigators and those new to AD trials a unique, comprehensive, and active learning experience by leveraging the full infrastructure and expertise of the Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC). IMPACT-AD is committed to diversifying the workforce of ADRD researchers; increasing the pipeline for young investigators; and enabling a diverse range of clinicians, scientists, and researchers to receive modern and robust training on ADRD clinical trials.
